Experienced the camaraderie of the fixed gear rider today, as I rode into town another rider struck up a conversation about the stupidity of the Portland traffic laws regarding bikes, no filtering between cars, no going through amber lights etc etc. The friendliness of riders here is definitely one of the positives though.
