The new Five Dollar bill actually has some colour. Look at that big purple 5! I have always found U.S currency to be terrible from a usability perspective. All the denominations are roughly the same size and colour, making them very difficult to tell apart in your wallet. Thankfully it looks like someone in the treasury has come to their senses, hence the big purple 5.
